Protecting Paradise, a local nonprofit, is donating $10,000 to the Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) in Livingston and is challenging the community to match the funds during the month of April.

HRDC recognizes that many of its customers and community members are more likely to experience a significant financial hardship during the coronavirus outbreak, a news release from the organization said.

Protecting Paradise’s donation and the matching funds will support HRDC’s efforts to respond to the pressing needs of the Park County community, including, housing support, emergency shelter and supplies, the release said.

“From donations of supplies, financial contributions, words of encouragement and gratitude, the community has really rallied around us and we feel confident moving forward that we can address the needs of our most vulnerable community members,” HRDC’s Livingston Outreach Coordinator, Sonja Wheeler said in the release.

Those interested in making a donation toward the Protecting Paradise Challenge can visit or send a check to HRDC’s office at 32 S. Tracy Ave., Bozeman, MT 59715.
